Recommended Usage

PROCESS AND APPLICATION

NEW SURFACES

For Masonry or wooden surfaces, ensure that the surface is thoroughly dry, clean and moisture free. Repair all cracks and defective rendering before application. Dry scuff and smooth the surface with the sand paper. Apply one coat of Gobi’s under coat or Gobi’s sealer and allow it to dry overnight. Dry Scuff the surface again. If required then apply one more coat of Gobi’s Undercoat/Sealer & prepare the substrate smooth by dry scuff again with the sand paper. For Ferrous & Steel Surfaces, remove all the rust, grim & dirt by scraping with the sand paper. Clean the substrate with the solvent soaked Rag and then apply one coat of Gobi’s Red Oxide Primer and allow it to dry over night, after drying smoothly scuff the surface with the sand paper

OLD SURFACE

Previously Painted Surfaces If in sound condition, clean the surface from all foreign material or glossy coatings and surfaces should bedulled by abrading the surface. Remove all the loose paint or flakes by scrapping. Smooth the surface by scuffing with the sand paper thenapply one coat of Gobi’s oil based under coat or Gobi’s oil based wall sealer and allow it to dry overnight. Dry Scuff the surface again. Ifrequired then apply one more coat of oil based Gobi’s Undercoat/sealer & prepare the substrate smooth by dry scuff again with the sandpaper. For Ferrous or steel Surfaces & previously painted Surfaces, remove all the rust, dirt and surface debris by scraping with the sandpaper. Clean the iron or steel substrate with the solvent soaked Rag and then apply one coat of Gobi’s Red Oxide Primer and allow it to dry over night, after drying smoothly scuff the surface with the sand paper.

FINISHING

Apply 2-3 coats of Gobi’s Synthetic gloss finish enamel to achieve the full covering, solid glossy film and strong color development. Apply Gobi’s gloss finish enamel by using Brush, Roller and conventional Spray. Always use clean application equipment. For brush application, use 10-15 % mineral Turpentine/white spirit for thinning the paint. Load the brush generously and apply a full even coat. Avoid applying very thick coat. For Roller application, use 12-15 % white spirit/mineral turpentine to thinning. Make the paint thin up to smooth consistency before pouring into the roller tray and then apply smoothly over the surface. For Spray application, add 15-20 % white spirit/mineral turpentine for thinning the paint, after thinning use conventional spray equipment for application. Always allow 08-10 hours for drying be tween the coats.
